Scenes, 1946-47
After serving four years in the Army Air Corps as a photo
officer during World War II, Guerrero returned to New York City to restart
his career in 1946. Armed this time with a camera, Guerrero documented the city as
it looked in those post war years when men and women always wore hats and the
city was returning to life.
